The 4 wives

Image
There was a rich merchant who had 4 wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to delicacies. He took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best. He also loved the 3rd wife very much. He's very proud of her and always wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other men. He too, loved his 2nd wife. She is a very considerate person, always patient and in fact is the merchant's confidante. Whenever the merchant faced some problems, he always turned to his 2nd wife and she would always help him out and tide him through difficult times. Now, the merchant's 1st wife is a very loyal partner and has made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and business as well as taking care of the household. However, the merchant did not love the first wife and although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her. One day, the merchant fell ill. Before l...

The path through the trees

I enjoyed reading this book as it has very fascinating plot. Each character has their unique characteristics and behavior. More importantly, who is the mysterious boy that appears to be watching the Ontario mansion when Norah Bingham was staying there for Christmas? << Now that was the first thing I wanted to know when I started to read the book.  I learned that the boy's name was Jody. But I had no idea why he's there and what does he want to do with Norah. The suspense built when Becca and Andrew, Norah's cousins arrived to Aunt Caroline's house for Christmas too. Now speaking of Aunt Caroline, she's a very odd elderly woman who doesn't really welcome company and it's obvious through her actions and words that she is hiding something. The puzzle gets trickier when finally Norah met Jody in person, talked to him and saw him with her own eyes. Even though that really did happen, she is not certain if Jody's a real person himself because no one has ...

The point in time

It's been forever since I had my last dance performance. I hardly remembered how to dance! Okay you may think that I am weird. Well, I still goof out in my room to crazy music, so don't worry. Unlike any other dances, the Sumazau dance is one of the cultural dance that belongs to the Kadazandusun tribe, practically in Sabah, Malaysia. Dee dee (Joyce's pet name) took care of my make up and of we went for a few photo shoots. The guys with Brother Martin :) with Jekqwelin With Clement, Jekqwelin and Cliff Group photo with Aunt Catherine and Brother Martin. (He said we looked like Air Asia stewardess giving off the welcome-to-Malaysia look) hahahaha From left : Chonna, me, Jekq, Joyce, Diana and At. Catherine. 'Sumazau' is a ritual dance serves varied functions such as thanksgiving for bountiful paddy planting and harvesting, prayer against evil spirits, honouring the spirits as well as to cure illness. we visited the little demo house by the open hall and got caught up...

Hello earthlings!! This post was supposed to be up 2 days ago, but something was wrong with blogger.com or Google either way but I managed to got it up again thanks to Google Reader. Sorry for the inconvenience for the broken link previously. :D ' Sherlyn'is rumoured to have been derived from the French "Cherie" meaning, "Darling". Sherlyn and Sherline are just to far removed to be able to say this with certainty. It is more than likely a more recent creation of sounds that sound pleasing to certain people's ears. Recent popularity might be due in part to the Mexican actress that goes by the single name of Sherlyn. -  http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com ' Sherlyn ' is a somewhat popular first name for women (#2851 out of 4276) but an uncommon surname or last name for all people. (1990 U.S. Census) - http://www.thinkbabynames.com/ Last year it ranked 542 out of the top 1000 most popular U.S girls names.  - http://www.ourbabynamer.com...
