Youth Leader's Camp 2012

Image
Greetings! First of all, this post has been delayed for like one month lol. Actually, I think almost all of my posts are delayed anyway. Now I should REALLY hire someone to blog for me. My blog is so dead. I challenged myself to stop blogging for 20 days and see what's gonna happen. Well, been there, done that and it's not a pleasant one, so I figure I better continue blog :D. Sorry I had less pictures this time. Pics are all thanks to Schoffal, my big lovable bro. So, I attended this spectacular spiritual camp on the 2nd of Feb- 3rd of Feb at St.Mary's Cathedral, Sandakan. Romans 8:28 tells us that  in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who   have been called according to his purpose. It was through this promise pointer that God gave me hope and kept me on edge on the Youth Leader's Camp (YLC). I first heard about this camp from my close friend, Varrelene J. "I will go", I promised, no matter how much problem I had to hurdle in order to ...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Greetings all! How's February coming on? I am very glad to say that with every step I take, I feel the bare hands of God shaping me from within. It's Valentine's Day tomorrow. Oh gosh It's been a year already! My last Valentine's Day was the most beautiful day I ever had in my whole life! First love is a legend indeed. Hopefully, this year it would be something special too without him, though the feeling woudn't be the same, not in a million years :( Now, here's a random video I came across via my big lovable bro, Schoffal Charles . His message is : Valentine's Day is not cool, so don't try to be cool! hahaha! You'll get the whole thing of Valentine's Dy tangled up and at the end of the day, its still an ordinary day. Funny enough, the video title is Valentine's Day Sucks. This video is so epic I laughed a lot; My point of view? I don't hate Valentine's Day, in fact, I treasure it like all the other events. After all, Valentine...

Oh Wells

I know, I know, I promised the Youth Leader's Camp post but it's still sitting alone in my draft. T__T pity it. I think I should hire someone to blog efficiently for me what the heck... I should've finished it before posting this one oh wells.  So, the "McDonald's is finally coming to Sandakan!" thingy - has finally came true!! I remember I was one of those not-so-interested ones. Partly because I've grown sick with them coz they're everywhere in Penang and KL. Still, it's the first time in a long time dining at McD. I think it's been 2 years! For the locals in Sandakan, I am sure it has been a long wait. The fast food outlets here are missing McD and with the grand opening of it,  tada!! The main topic of food would usually be connected with McD.  Failed attempt #1 Failed attempt #2 *stupid flash edged out Beverly lol Being the fickle-minded one, I chose the Double Cheeseburger for my dinner only to change it to Filet-O-Fish at the end. I a...

Light up

Tanjung Aru Beach, Kota Kinabalu. This was earlier this year, with my uncle's family. I didn't communicate much since I don't know most of them. Naturally, I cornered myself under a shady tree and meditated a prayer or two. Looking at the beautiful horizon, makes me feel closer to God. At that point, the point where a new year is taking it's place in my circle of life, it scares me. What if this year would be the worst year of my entire life? What if I can't catch up with what I strive for all these years? What if someone tells me he loves me again? What if I stumble in faith again? What if I don't have the enough potential to be what I wanted to be? What if I am not beautiful enough? What if I am not smart enough?  Lies. Lies of the world. No more slacking dear...no more. Thank God too, for the camera Jez left in my hands. I swear, with this technology in my hands, I am super active *click click -smile- I target kids and always kids - weird but true. Till toda...

How does teleportation work?

Image
Good day readers! Just came back with a good spirit to share something that brought up my interest. So, has anyone ever watched Star Trek? The one starring Captain Kirk, Spock, and something something about Enterprise? Isn't it cool to travel vehicle-less like them? Hohoho this is gonna be awesome, imagine waking up everyday and not worry about getting to school, office or an event on time. What if we could go to every country on earth at any time of the day with the help of this simple method? Perhaps you're lost in the woods or trying to escape prison wth. Woudn't it be nice if you can just travel from one place to another without crossing a physical distance or if you're a prisoner, a brick wall? lol, I'm not against imprisonment though, if it's true that that person is an outlaw.  Anyway, in this modern generation, even the coolest transportation technology a.k.a cars, motorcyles, jets, aeroplanes and helicopters have it's imperfection because all of the...

CNY Fullhouse, Day 2

Image
Was invited to an open house here in mile 7 yesterday. I am so frustrated of myself because I failed to ask whose house is that T____T. So until today, it remains unknown to me. Oh wells. As I said on my previous post, I'm only interested in watching pretty lion dances on poles lol. (actually they are called 'jongs') Well, I got my wish haha! And I didn't expect it to be so soon, it took me off guard! I know lion dances are often mistaken with dragon dances, which I can't complain since I once had that mixed up too. In comparison, I prefer lion dance cause It's less complicated but artistic. Their unique movements + emotions excites me, especially the blinking eyes and super acrobatic stunts. Lion dances are not only known for their artistic performance and entertainment. Growing up as part of a Chinese family, I have heard stories from my mum, dad, aunts, cousins, etc. that lions are regarded as a 'protector' or a guardian to drive away evil spirits. Th...
