Happy Valentine's Day!
Greetings all! How's February coming on? I am very glad to say that with every step I take, I feel the bare hands of God shaping me from within. It's Valentine's Day tomorrow. Oh gosh It's been a year already! My last Valentine's Day was the most beautiful day I ever had in my whole life! First love is a legend indeed. Hopefully, this year it would be something special too without him, though the feeling woudn't be the same, not in a million years :(
Now, here's a random video I came across via my big lovable bro, Schoffal Charles. His message is : Valentine's Day is not cool, so don't try to be cool! hahaha! You'll get the whole thing of Valentine's Dy tangled up and at the end of the day, its still an ordinary day. Funny enough, the video title is Valentine's Day Sucks. This video is so epic I laughed a lot;
My point of view? I don't hate Valentine's Day, in fact, I treasure it like all the other events. After all, Valentine's day make second most popular card sending day after Christmas! There are many reasons why I love this particular day. It's history is very mysterious and had a linkage with Christianity and the ancient Roman rituals. Living in the 21st century makes me realize that the true meaning behind Valentine's Day is fading away, becoming more and more translucent like a ghost o.O.
I grew up knowing nothing about this historical day except the widely-known tradition of giving and receiving from your significant other. That's where I learn to love roses. But is there more to Valentine's Day rather than these? Instead of squeezing out your brain juice on what to buy on VDay, why don't just spend some time with your loved ones? Spend that EXTRA time with them. Come on I know you had that EXTRA time, if you don't have some time, make some time. Do stuffs together - that's what makes Valentine's Day so special. It's a day to celebrate love and to express our feelings directly or indirectly together. Sometimes simplicity is the best.

I also wanted to praise God for our church Valentine's Sale conducted by our youth. I am very pleased that all our goods were sold !!! Kaching! $$$$$$$ hee :D benefited over 200MYR this year. All the efforts are worth it. We sold chocolate bars and sweet hampers as well as cute dolls and hearts. We also gathered all second handed dolls that our youth donated. We washed,decorated them and wrapped them up in colourful cellophane with cute tiny maroon ribbons on top. How who wouldn't want to buy them right? I mean if you go elsewhere the cheapest you would get is like 20MYR for a fuzzy Valentine's Bear. All in all, I want to thank everyone who has supported and helped us in giving this raising fund activity a success. :D
p.s : I just found out a video entitled 'Follow' via godtube.com. It is a simple inspirational video about the life of Jesus. I found it rather interesting because it reflects upon Jesus's life creatively and reminds us that God gave us technology for a purpose. We need to remind ourselves to benefit this gift of God for the soul instead of mere entertainment. Watch this video and you'll not regret it, especially if you love to tweet. I am very happy to share this video with you. Hey, it's nothing wrong with celebrating V day with your God right? :D So do head on to Schoffal's blogpost as he had pre-posted the video before I did. Once again, happy Valentine's Day!!!
