Sleep under open skies

Greetings everyone! So as you know, I'm a dreamer. Thousand of thoughts came rushing through my brain cells 24-7 ( even in my sleep I guess). Unfortunately, some are rather useless and some are evil, but some are quite exciting. One of the things that I like to dream about is travel. Being under 18 and all kept me on the safe side of the wall. But sometimes I wonder 'what if'' someday I went over the other side and get to travel all over the world? That would be a bonus! I just happened to stumble upon a kind of place I never thought would exist.The web are saturated with lots of travel destination, and I am somehow drawn to a nostalgic and thrillingly unique place for tour attraction. So, yeah you can say I'm promoting though I've personally never been there. It would be a dream come true if I actually went though.

'Kiboko Star Beds' as they called it, is a heavenly place imaginable to sleep in, to curl up just under the stars in the middle of wilderness. You can find those particularly at Loisaba Wilderness, Africa. It is an outstandingly beautiful place and perfect for adventure seekers (ehem, like me). Just the thought of water rippling and probably some crickets sounding late at night brought me peace of body, mind and soul. We could take our eyes off skyscrapers and find the time to meditate on God's artwork of nature around us. I admit I really need this vacation spot. Enough said.

So let's talk about accommodation. Loisaba offers authentic, extravagant African style stay you'll sure to remember. There are 3 choices;

#1. Loisaba Lodge

Loisaba Lodge

Loisaba Lodge nested high on the edge of the plateau, looking south towards Mount Kenya. The furnishings are all handmade and there are French windows that open onto a private deck.

#2. The House

This house is built entirely from local materials, so I would say it was built right at Loisaba, with it's exclusive architecture of stone and thatch. (wow!) This is fantastic for small groups. private and high above the grounds which also overlooks Laikipia plains towards Mount Kenya.

#3. The Cottage

The cottage is fully self-contained, with it's own staff. You can even use a custom game drive vehicle! With a homey touch to this cottage, I would definitely go there in my dreams. It would be the ultimate snow white fairytale, starring me lol wtf *it has a private swimming pool hehehe..

On the other side of the coin, Loisaba offers a long list of activities that includes;

-Game drives
-Walking (accompanied by traditional Samburu guides whose knowledge of local flora, fauna etc.)
-Horse riding
-Camel riding (that would probably takes up a whole morning)
-Fishing (never knew you can fish in the middle of a desert!)
-Rafting (that sounds ancient..)
-Quad Bikes
-Mountain biking (for those who are energetic and all)
-Lodge activities
-Cultural village visits (Masai village lifestyle)
-Spa treatments

To all animal lovers, there are sight-seeings to attend to. Time to experience wildlife with animals such as hyenas, gazelles, giraffes and various types of antelopes. There are also foxes, lions, cheetahs, African wildcats, African elephants, and so much more!

I would like to visit this part of Africa, if heaven permits - and if I have lots and LOTS of $$, that would do. So if you're planning to visit Laikipa, Kenya, do give Loisaba Wilderness a try. I would certainly love to hear some episode of your story :D Oh, and check out http://loisaba.com for more precise description of the activities and accommodation. You can simply get in touch with them via email : enquiries@loisaba.com.

P.S: it's late now, going straight to bed after this post, good night dears!
P.S.S: Going to KL in another 3 days. What a life ! :o :)
