Easter and Family Day Celebration at St. Mary's

Good day everyone! We went to St. Mary's Sunday School Family Day on Sunday. Parents are invited to celebrate this Family Day Celebration to raise funds and there are many activities for the children too :). I'm supposed to blog about this before the celebration to encourage participation but I ended up blogging after the event.

Venue: St. Mary's Parish Hall

Part of the programs are participated by parents, guardian, children or even the entire family!. They started off with an opening prayer and an Easter Song, followed by an Ice Breaking Dance by the level 6 Sunday School Students. I'm in level 7 this year. I've completed my Communion last two years and I'm now a pre-Conformation student. I'm Looking forward for level 8, which is the real Conformation Class. Pray for me! :D.

Furthermore, there was a family performance: singing, dancing, and also a magic show! I'm proud of them. (the families that participated) I'm so happy to see mums and dads involved in things like this. At least they have time to enjoy with their children with other families!

Lookalike time!!!
-Participated by a parent and a child.
My friends and I have been talking a lot so we don't really pay attention to the competition. But I can recall that the first participant won the first prize. (the kid is cute^^)

-I liked her purse so much! It has this floral+old fashioned theme and it's so pretty!

More important than that, there's FOOD!. We had our lunch after a couple of games, but we skipped that part and chit-chat anyway.

This year, they did something new. Instead of asking for 'love offering', they raise funds by holding a 'Mini Jumble Sale'. They concentrated on good, wearable used children clothing and also other saleable items.

This event is successful although there are less participation in the stage performance. Everyone is happy and I hope by following year, we'll have a better Family Day. :)
