How are you God's promise?

Everyone is striving for perfection nowadays. The world just grows crazy and it screams at you from the ads : get the perfect body, the perfect house, the perfect car, the perfect job, and then you'll be accepted. I know most people wanted the best for themselves, and no doubt, me too. When people fail to measure up, they experience put-downs from themselves or from others. Where can people find their value? How does God sees you? Does He see your potential and value? and the question goes on and on...

God the creator delighted in making you special. You gave him joy and still do. In the book of Genesis, it says that when God viewed His creations, He declared it was good. God created you in His image but no one is perfect except God. Designers and society may say if you look like this, you are perfect and good. But that is an opinion and a lie. I believe everyone has their experiences and own flaws.. but still, be grateful for who you are and what you are inside. Remember, that God knows everything about you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made and you were not a mistake. ( see Psalm 139).

God loves us and He blessed each person unique. He may have given you a winning smile or some other special personality trait. He grants to each person abilities and talents that enables him or her to contribute to the good of mankind. God never intended the world to be made up of carbon-copy people. Meaning everyone is the same. That way, this life would be boring. People would be boring. When God looks at you, He sees all the possibilities He placed within you when He formed you in your mother's womb. He sees who you are and who you can be when you choose to live a life that is pleasing to Him. He sees you as a promise with the potential to be all He created you to be.

Besides, you are God's treasured possession (Exodus 19:5). God looks at you and sees the the promise of a close relationship with Him. Because you are made in His image, you share similar feelings and thoughts. So, feel free to share all your concerns with Him, even a teeny tiny problem would change God's heart : through prayer. Maybe one day you are late for school or you lost your purse. Ask for God's help. Place your trust in Him and call upon Him, for God loved to help. You may be surprised what God would do to twist around though situations the other way round. Even if you really did a mistake that is unavoidable, God would say "it's gonna be okay" in your heart and you will know that there is another lesson to be learn.

"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born, I set you apart for a special work and appointed you as a prophet to the nations" -(Jeremiah 1:4-5)
