Last Meeting of CSM '10
(picnic & study tour) Shalom dear readers! How's everything? My updates> results are finally out for my finals and I'm very disappointed. I dropped a lot! I mean, for me it's MASSIVE! Have you ever had that feeling? I'm shrinking so bad the volume just drop in like 5 seconds close enough to let me out of the top 3. but I have given my best. It's not that easy and nobody thinks it's easy. I'm grateful God blessed me with this gift and at least I managed to keep up on the top. Okay enough with the ranting. Anyway, let's look on the fun side;
Activity : Picnic & Study Tour (Christian Society)
Venue : around 'Taman Sentosa'
Date : 5th November 2010
That's right, we had this planned out pretty much at the last minute. (replacing a 2-day camp) I personally think it's better. I'm busy with my excel examination. And yes, this is after the finals which is so annoying. The form 1s are already celebrating their 'merdeka' LOL. Next week, there will be Science, Maths, Geography and English paper and so the brain stuffing continues.....So my day starts at 5.30 a.m, took the bus at 6.20 a.m and reached school 10 mins before 7. Ain't cool taking the bus but I'm liking the rain! Chilly weather!
gathering at school canteen for morning prayer and light breakfast, soon, we started walking up the hill!
half way up - we saw so many beautiful plants and fruits;
we have pineapples, lady's finger, maize, tomatoes, melons..
-pomegranate (known as 'Delima' locally)
pumpkins...! I admire this family's hard work so much. (They even used bamboo shoots to build the fences! Now that's what nature really can provide)
feels like mini Cameron Highlands xD
we took a short break and teacher allow us to buy ourselves some drinks at a nearby store, after that, we continues sightseeing and adoring God's creation. <3
Now this is called Ironwood. Obviously, by it's name we all know that it's a strong wood. It makes attractive shades and it's very hard. That's why it is named 'Iron'. Actually, today I know that termites chew up woods from the base and inner part of the wood to the top. So, if you want to prevent any termites attack, you can take a small step by painting the woods from the base to the half top so that it will be harder for those termites to eat them up This way, your wood will be durable.
the weather is ok although it's a little wet.We had so much fun coz our CSM teacher is a Science teacher. Through and through, someone will just discover something new and there must be an explanation :D For example; (left pic) "Teacher!!! What is this?" - "That's a Breadfruit" - "Hah?!" o.O So now we know that there is such thing as a Breadfruit. I heard that it's some kind of melon. hehe... We continued our journey to pay a little river a little visit. Well, it's not really close to a river at all actually.
To our picnic spot, 'Taman Sentosa'. whoowhooooo!!
The Sentosa Park. Everyone started playing see-saws and I was soon caught up by the fun too! It's so enjoyable I've forgotten about my hunger.
Picnic time! let me tell you some food we have - there's bun, fish balls, 'rojak', donuts, watermelons, pudding, mee and so much more! The fun part is we get to sit on leaves we collected earlier on the hill.
teacher Chin prepared so many food and the highlight is the 'rojak'. I like 'rojak' because its combinations of fruits that makes it sweet and sour.
after eating, we rest for awhile and then go play! Again. this time, we do crazy photo shoots.
tree climbing expeditions lol
p.s - we pulled Clare down from one of the trees she climbed :P poor Clare..

a beautiful park, still a little wet from the rain. they make a good place for photo shoots. last activity before going back to the school lab, we had some fun worshiping the Lord with some fun action songs!
Soon, we left the beautiful garden and returned to school for some microscopic activity. I'm so excited to observe what's under the microscope! Earlier, we collected specimens such as flowers and water samples. Theres gonna be something new. :)
Indeed it is! I don't have any pictures of us in the lab, let alone pictures of what we saw under the microscope. The prettiest is the veins of a flower. It's so fine and really high defined for us to see. Trust me, there is no other wonderful view than from our own eyes. 'Eyes are the window of our souls' - says teacher Chin. So true.
Well I guess this marks the ending of our 4 hour++ journey. Praise the Lord for such a fine weather although it's damp. better damp than hot right? So happy to blog about this, gonna miss CSM! Next year, I'm on the morning session and I just hope that our CSM would be as fun as this! Ohh, one more thing. next year is actually the last year of our beloved teacher Chin with us. She's going to retire soon. T__T lot's of love teacher!
