English Literature Component (Robinson Crusoe)

Hi earthlings!

Being in lower secondary school, this is one of the great things we learn in preparation for PMR. Basically this is a revision this year. In my opinion, I like the novel Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde better, because it has more interesting storyline and characters. However,Robinson Crusoe itself is a very motivating story. So today, I would like to share some of my exercises on this literature section based on the novel Robinson Crusoe. :D

My answer:

The book that I have chosen is 'Robinson Crusoe' by Daniel Defoe. It is about a man named Robinson Crusoe who ran away from home to become a sailor. He was shipwrecked and stranded on an island due to a severe storm. I think that the storyline is remarkable.

The main character is brave and strong willed about doing what he wants to do. For example, he took a risk and ran away in order to fulfill his ambition despite his parents' idea of him being a lawyer. He also planned his escape from the Turkish captain carefully and boldly.

Besides, I think that any adventurous fan like me would love to read this story, especially the climax where Robinson discovers cannibals on the island. He realized that he was in danger and He fought them as brave as a lion in order to save Friday, who soon became his companion.

Furthermore, we could certainly admire Robinson's spirit to survive on his own on a desolate island for such long years. He does not give up hope yet does what he can to have fun and comfortable on the island. For instance, he taught his parrot to speak!

Overall, I enjoy this story so much! Robinson motivate and entertained us with his determination, his adventurous being and his spirit in harmony with nature around him.
