Dear Benjamin,
Thank you for your letter and I am sorry for the delay in writing. You see, I was busy with the annual Teacher's Day celebration in my school when you wrote, and after that the examinations hit. Now that it's over, I think I would like to share something about this year's Teacher's Day celebration!

It was the yearly Teacher's Day of our school. As it coincided with the 20th anniversary of our school, the principal decided to make a grand occasion. So, on the 9th of August, we arrived early to school to put the finishing touches to the decorations. At exactly 9.00 a.m, the event was started with a morning assembly and a speech by the principal.

He told us the significance of the occasion and reminded students to study hard and to develop good qualities especially for seniors like us. Besides, he also also show appreciation to our teachers for their hard work. Following this, our Head Prefect read out the Teacher's Day message by the honourable Sandakan District Education Officer. It was a spirit-lifting message and it planted an inspiration in me to improve in my studies.

For the rest of the day there were zero lessons. We gathered at the same hall for a concert put up by the Drama Society. There are also awards to be presented to our school teachers! It's such a heavenly moment for them and their smiles brought cheerfulness to us all. Soon, I remember without the book that we had class parties, food stuffing everywhere, lots of singing and dancing, and of course, games!

When it was half past noon, telematches were played outdoor on the field. As seniors, we made sure to make the occasion as light-hearted as we could. It was obvious that the younger members of the school had the most fun. Everywhere was excitement and laughter. It was a one in a million point of life! The funniest thing was to see our principal dancing in the middle of the field with some students!

The last item was a movie. We watched the movie entitled 'Wildchild' and went home with broad smiles on our faces. Enough about the fun we had, tell me about yours batman! Maybe we could plan something fun someday. Call me up okay?

Yours sincerely,
Sherlyn
