Harvest Festival 2011 - day 1

I totally forgotten about this post. Poor thing, it sat quietly in my drafts from day to day and it's been a month now lol. So where should I start? Hmmm...this year's semester 1 break is brief to me. Although most of the days are spent walking up and down K.K ,in and out of shopping malls. My mum had a thing for clothes and that's why I pretty much be her loyal follower of the day (well, almost every day).

The life in K.K you probably had in mind when I mentioned about my holiday may not be what you picture it. As a matter of fact, it's located in Penampang, Kampung Bahang. So, it's a kampung ... not a terrace house, not a banglo either. It's a what-I-called solo house that are built by bricks and cement on the ground floor and wood on the first.

KDCA (which was the venue for the Sabah state Kaamatan Festival) were packed with people from all places. The theme for this year's Kaamatan Festival is 'Cultural Understanding - The Way Forward' which, I thought was a wakening call to all new generations.

they had a lot of handicrafts there!

Very shortly after my arrival in K.K, we (Clement's family and mine) went for a Chinese lunch. Man the price was as interesting as the food lol. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my meal and the day goes on with meeting mum. I searched high and low for her at KDCA, which ruined half of my excitement to meet her. It's no wonder especially wit the sun rays on your delicate skin, damaging your skin cells. If I am made of ice, I'll be liquid in no time flat rawr! Turns out she was busy cheering at the tug of war. She bought a new Canon camera though, 105 Ixus babe! Silver in colour (or was it grey?) it's absolutely perfect! We were stuck there from noon till 7 p.m . Had a good walk and cheap food XD.

Overall, it's a very good day for a harvest festival celebration plus my reunion with mum. Gosh I missed her so much I would die that instant. T____T
